gave 50 for a women\'s health exam |
posted August 27, 2010

Cirta is a young mother of 7 who makes her home in the rural community of La Romana. Cirta is originally from Haiti, but has immigrated to the Dominican Republic in search of a better life for herself and her family. The small community she calls home is supported by the sugar harvesting industry, which employs many Haitians and Dominicans.
Because of Esperanza, Cirta was able to take out a group loan which has given her the capital to begin a business of selling clothes and accessories from her home, thus allowing her to support her family. Until Esperanza presented her with the opportunity of a Pap exam, Cirta had never imagined or even heard of such an exam.
Because of your donation Anthony, Cirta had the opportunity to have this essential exam. She now understands the importance of making sure she is healthy for her many children and can now rest assured that she is cervical cancer free. Cirta thanks you Anthony for allowing her the opportunity to stay healthy for her children!
