Ruth is learning Spanish!

Ruth is 22 years old and lives with her mother in Santo Domingo Norte, which is located in the Dominican Republic. For most of her life, Ruth lived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, but after the devastating earthquake her life has changed tremendously.

Ruth and her mother chose to come to the Dominican Republic in search of a better life two months ago. Ruth claims that the literacy course has been a blessing, and she is now learning the Spanish language. Ruth is happy to finally be able to express herself and greet the wonderful new people she is meeting.
