Marta Checks For Cervical Cancer
Your donation of $25 has blessed Marta with an essential part of her holistic health: a Pap exam. Your donation made it possible for a doctor to travel to Marta’s community and administer the exam in the home of a bank member. Marta is of Haitian decent, and lives in a batey here in the Dominican Republic. A batey is a very small community which strives off of the sugar harvesting industry, and lacks many vital resources such as potable water and energy.
Marta was able to start a business of selling various food items thanks to the microloan she took out with Esperanza. She is now paying back her 2nd loan, and feels blessed to have the opportunity to take care of her health thanks to the commitment she has made with Esperanza. Marta wants all women to have the opportunity to take care of their health, and wants to say thank you Brad for making this a reality for her. Thank you for making an impact in Marta’s life!
