Violeta was able to receive a woman’s health exam because of your kind $25 donation Felix. Violeta has been an associate of Esperanza for 4 years and has taken out a total 8 loans. Her first loan was valued at $5,000 pesos ( $130 USD) and she is now taking out a loan of $30,000 ( $790 USD.) She used the first loan to invest in her business of selling meat and once she acquired stable capital, she began her business of mercancilla. Felix, your donation allowed 30 yr old Violeta to receive her very first health exam.
Not only can she assure she is healthy, but she can set a positive example to her 4 children and her community members. Violeta started a literacy course in her community, 2 classes of 15 women. The students were a mix of Haitians and Dominicans and they learned the alphabet, as well as how to read and write. Now these women will also understand what it means to be healthy for their own families. Thank you so much for giving Violeta the power to stay healthy for herself and her loved ones!
Thank you Felix!
