Epifania is getting a women’s health exam for the first time with Esperanza today thanks to a generous donation of $25. Epifania is 48 years old and sells vitamins and cold medicine in her community of Villa Progresso in La Romana, located in the east of the Dominican Republic. She now has more capital to invest in her business, which means more merchandise to sell.
Epifania states that “Esperanza is very important for disadvantaged women like me – it is important to exemplify that there is hope.” She also states that today she not only was able to receive the vital exam, but learned why it is important to do so. It is essential to be prepared to fight Cervical Cancer.
